Home Tweet Home

It seems like Spring has finally arrived! One of my favourite things about Spring is when the birds come back into the neighbourhood.
I have a tree in one of my flower beds that often becomes the home for a nest and some baby birds. It is fun to watch the Mom feed to the babies and to watch the babies as they learn to fly.

The Fancy Birdhouse 1 stamp reminded me of this fun part of Spring and I added the Landing Birdie as she seems to be coming home.

I coloured the stamps with alcohol markers and hand fussy cut them. Next I cut my doily and circle and added some clouds using a cloud die, dauber and ink. Then it was on to my computer to create my sentiment, print it and cut it out using the matching circle and doily dies. Some ribbon and gumdrops finish off my card.

The image was stamped on Copic Xpress It cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, and then colored with Copics.  I added dots of color on the pup, and used the Colorless Blender Copic sketch marker to make tiny dots all over the teacup.  After fussy cutting the image, I added it to the card front made from Die Cuts With a View paper.

Tropical Santa!

Hello OCS Fans!
Everybody deserves a little R&R especially Santa after a busy Christmas season! "Tropical Santa" from High Hopes is doing just that! I think he's even got a bit of a tan!
I decided to use paper from the American Crafts "Sunny" 6x6 collection. I got my Sketch idea from "Lili of the Valley Sketches". There are lots of wonderful 6x6 sketches over there to choose from. I added the HH "Just Arrived" sentiment to show that "Tropical Santa" just arrived for his much needed vacation.
On the inside I created the sentiment on my computer. I am using a Ring Frame die on the inside with more of the Designer Papers. I used some of the circle cutout on the front of my card. I always try to use up my "scraps" when I can!
Copics Used:
Skin: E11, E33, E51, R20
Hair: N1, N3, N4, N7
Pinks: RV04, RV06

Chair: E43, E44, E47, Y32, Y35, Y38

Spring is in the Air, Wreath

Hi there and happy Saturday.  I'm back to share a little card made with ....
I created a  twig style wreath and set the Spring image inside.  Used a burlap style ribbon
with a fun carrot print and some tiny yellow flowers too. The image is coloured with Copic Markers and the background paper has a rustic wood look which I though went well with the image.
Thanks for stopping by.  Have a great weekend.

After colouring this cutie with alcohol markers, I added some Stickles to her boa and pearls for a little sparkle. I set it aside to dry and cut and assembled my patterned paper layers. Some matching glittery ribbon and Nuvo gumdrops finish off my card.

Gemma!

Hi OCS Fans!
I've got one more of the High Hopes Stamps adorable "Divas" to share with you today! This is the super cute "Gemma"! When I started to design this card, I just pictured her in Paris for some reason.... enjoying life and painting until her little hearts content!
So since "Gemma" is in "Paris", I knew the Paris Girl collection from Carta Bella was perfect for her! I've been hoarding this collection but thought Gemma was deserving LOL. I added some Crystal Stickles to her hair band, flower and painted hearts. The MFT Eiffel Tower die was the perfect addition to my themed card!
On the decorated inside I added the HH Sentiment called "You Make Me Smile".
Copics Used:
Skin: E00, E11, E21, R20
Hair: E74, E77, E79
Pinks: R81, R83, R85
Hearts and paint: RV10, RV11
Easel: E43, E44, E47
Grey: C1, C2, C4, black gel pen polka dots
Background: B000, B00

Take some time to enjoy life just like Gemma is!
